Argentina coach questions Lionel Messi’s Ballon d’Or win

Lionel Scaloni the coach of the Argentina national team has raised questions about, his team captain Lionel Messi’s 8th Ballon d’Or win. These questions however weren’t for his star player.

They were for those who have been complaining about the 36 year old’s record extending win of the Golden ball. Messi’s Ballon d’Or win rattled some people more especially Cristiano Ronaldo and his social media fanboys.

They tried so hard to push an agenda of how the Argentinean didn’t deserve to win. Shockingly they backed Erling Halaand since Ronaldo last came close to winning the Ballon d’Or 6 years ago while still at Real Madrid.

According to Scaloni, he doesn’t understand where this criticism even comes from. He added that these probably want to generate a debate but there is nothing left to discuss as Messi ended it and cemented himself as the GOAT.

“People debating Messi’s Ballon d’Or? I don’t really understand those who discuss Leo’s Ballon d’Or. I imagine it because they want to generate a debate, but I no longer believe there is one debate left anymore.“

Messi and Argentina will be back in action tonight as they take on Uruguay at the La Bombonera stadium in the CONMEBOL 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

La Albiceleste leads the South American qualifiers with 12 points as they have won all of their 4 games. Uruguay and Brazil all have 7. The Samba Boys will be taking on Colombia.
