Uganda Cranes coach summons Charlton Athletic defender

Nathan Asiimwe, a defender for Charlton Athletic FC, has been called up by Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put for friendlies in Marrakech, Morocco, against Ghana and Comorros.
The defender has been named by the Belgian for the upcoming games, along with other new faces. These are Scottish goalkeeper Toby Sibbick of Hearts and English goalkeeper Giousue Bellagambi of Huddersfield. Asiimwe is a flexible defender who can play any position on the back line.

Due to individual injuries, the Cranes will be without Allan Kyambadde (El Dakhleya), Khalid Aucho (Yanga), and Aziz Kayondo of MFK Vyskov.

On Friday, March 22, Uganda will take on Comorros, and on Tuesday, March 26, Uganda will take on Ghana.
