Top of the table clash as Kitara hosts Vipers

The goal of Vipers’ matchup with Kitara FC at Masindi Municipal Stadium is to move up to the top of the Uganda Premier League.
The Venoms will also be seeking retribution from their hosts, who on Sunday defeated them in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

In their quarterfinal match, both teams ended in a 2-2 stalemate before Kitara won on penalties.

With 44 points, Kitara is presently leading the Uganda Premier League table, while Vipers are in third place with 42.

If the team led by Brian Ssenyondo wins, they will increase their lead at the top, and if the Vipers win, they will seize the top spot.

Due to his capitulation to play for his parent club (on loan from Vipers), Najib Yiga will also be absent from the competition.

Due to a thigh injury, Ghanaian Fumador Awisome will not be playing for Richard Wasswa’s Vipers this time around.
