Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinal draw held

Yesterday saw the Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinal draw held at the FUFA Complex in Mengo.
While NEC FC fights BUL FC for a spot in the championship game, Kitara FC squares off against Pajule Lions.

After a scoreless draw in both regular and extra time, Kitara defeated holders Vipers 5-4 on penalties to advance to their first-ever Uganda Cup quarterfinal.

In the quarterfinal, the rival Pajule Lions defeated Pakwach Young Stars, a team from the same regional league, 1-0.

The only remaining former champions in the competition are BUL FC, who defeated Vipers SC 3-1 in the championship game in 2022.

On April 27 and 28, the 50th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinal first legs will take place.

NEC defeated Police, the runners-up from the previous year, 2-0, while BUL overcame KCCA, 6-5, in spot kicks after the teams drew 1-1 in regulation and overtime.
