Vipers goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora set for exit to Tanzania

Goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora is expected to sign with Kinandoni Municipal Council (KMC) FC, a team in the Tanzania Premier League.
Mutombora’s contract with Vipers is set to expire after six years of service at Kitende.

Both Kenya Premier League team AFC Leopards and rival KCCA FC were interested in signing the Burundian goalkeeper, but no deal was struck.

Mutombora became a part of Vipers from Burundian side Lydia Ludic Academic in 2018.

The Burundian shot stopper was a transfer target of rivals KCCA FC as well as Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards but no compromise was reached.

Mutombora joined Vipers in 2018 having previously featured for Burundian side Lydia Ludic Academic.

The Burundian goalie has won two Stanbic Uganda Cup medals and three league crowns at Kitende.

League matches are held at Uhuru Stadium, home of Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC) FC, a team based in the Dar es Salaam region’s Kinondoni District.

After Yanga SC, the eventual champions, Costal Union, Simba SC, and Azam FC, KMC FC placed fifth in the league standings.
