Police continue their fine hunt of returning to the UPL

Big League leaders Police FC defeated Booma FC at Kavumba Recreation ground on Saturday, winning 2-1. In the sixth minute of the match, after Denis Kalanzi had been taken down, Isaac Ogwang scored from the spot to give the home team the lead.

In the twenty-fiveth minute, Dickson Niwamanya gave the visitors a point back. The second goal for the Cops was scored in the 55th minute by Herman Wasswa, who had taken Ogwang’s position five minutes prior to the halfway break.

With 40 points from 19 games, Police FC is currently five points ahead of second-place Lugazi FC, who drew 1-1 with third-place Mbale Heroes on Saturday.
