Uganda Cranes midfielder Taddeo Lwanga clinches title with Rwandan side

With three games remaining, Taddeo Lwanga APR FC emerged victorious in the 2023–24 Rwanda Premier League.
Gilbert Mugisha’s lone goal gave them a 1-0 victory over Kiyovu Sports at the King Pele Stadium.

The game saw the Uganda Cranes midfielder secure the Army team’s fifth straight league championship.
Lwanga signed a one-year contract to join the Rwandan giants from AS Arta Solar 7 in Djibouti at the beginning of the season.
He then contributed significantly to APR’s victory in their record-tying 22nd league triumph.

With three games left, APR leads second-place Rayon Sport by a 12-point margin.

They are currently undefeated with 63 points from 27 games, having won 18 of them and drawn the remaining nine.

Taddeo Lwanga has won league titles as a player in the past with Vipers SC in Uganda and Simba SC in Tanzania.
