Uganda Cranes coach Fred Kajoba reveals the Cranes GOAT coaches

Among the notable coaches in Ugandan football history are Fred Kajoba, the former goalkeeping coach of the Uganda Cranes, Milutin Sredojević, also known as Micho, and Moses Basena.
The former head coach of Vipers SC disclosed that he, Micho, and Basena are football legends in Uganda since they broke the Cranes’ 38-year streak of missing the Africa Cup of Nations championship.

“Come what may, the historical coaches in Ugandan football are Micho, Basena and myself. We did a great job to end the Uganda Cranes’ 38 year wait without participating in the final tournament of the Africa Cup of Nations. We are historicals in the history of Ugandan football.”

“The 1978 coaches did their part and I appreciate them for the tremendous work during their time but we are the true historicals,” said Kajoba.

When the Uganda Cranes advanced to the 2017 Continental Final under the leadership of Micho and assistant coach Basena, Kajoba was their goalkeeping coach.
Kajoba was the head coach of Vipers SC and Soltilo Bright Stars before taking on the role of goalkeeping coach at Tanzanian team Ihefu SC.
