Robbery at the Bernabeu- Bayen Munich furious after Real Madrid knock them out of the UCL semi finals

Bayern Munich were enraged by a contentious offside ruling in the dying moments of their Champions League campaign.

After surrendering a one-goal lead to fall behind 2-1 in the second leg of their semi-final encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu, Bayern had one major chance in stoppage time, which Matthijs de Ligt converted.

However, the goal was promptly disallowed as the referee blew his whistle. Real Madrid defeated the team in the league semi-finals.

The ball was delivered into the Bayern box to Leroy Sane, but Ferland Mendy beat him to the header. Even though the Madrid player headed the ball, the linesman quickly raised his flag to call Sane offside, and the referee blew the whistle before the ball struck the net.

It was a significant and contentious decision, and the Bayern Munich players and bench were outraged. Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel was issued a yellow card for shouting at the linesman after the game, and Madrid went on to win 2-1, with Joselu coming off the substitute to score two quick goals to turn the tie around following Alphonso Davies’ spectacular start.

Thomas Tuchel after the game said that :-“It’s an absolute disaster. This scene must be played out to the end. That’s the rule. The linesman made the mistake, and the referee made the second mistake. It’s a violation of the rules.”

Bayern’s Dutch defender Mathjis De Ligt on the hand said that :- “I don’t want to say that Real Madrid always has the referees with them but that made the difference today.” He added to Bein Sports: “The linesman told me: ‘Sorry, I made a mistake’.”

On top of the other hand, Muller said that this is not the first time that Real Madrid is robbing them at the Bernabeu. He pointed out two Cristiano Ronaldo goals years ago.
