Bayern Munich shockingly interested in Vincent Kompany

This webiste has learned that Vincent Kompany is interested in taking over as manager of Bayern Munich.

The German powerhouses are actively considering Kompany, who has emerged as an unexpected candidate to succeed Thomas Tuchel.

Burnley was led by the legendary player of Manchester City back to the Premier League, but this season, after finishing 19th in the standings with just 24 points, the Clarets were thrown straight back down.

After two years in command at Turf Moor, Kompany would be making a huge step up if he joined Bayern. He had previously managed the Belgian team Anderlecht.

Bayern, who haven’t won the Bundesliga in twelve years, have also had a difficult season.

The German giants’ search for a new manager has been something of a goose chase having endured many setbacks.

They were interested in recruiting Xabi Alonso, who masterminded Bayer Leverkusen’s incredible Bundesliga title-winning campaign which has also seen the first-time German champions also go the entire season unbeaten, but the Spaniard has decided to remain.

Bayern also showed an interest in Oliver Glasner, who has made a great impact since taking the Crystal Palace job in February.

But like with their pursuit of Alonso, this move isn’t expected to materialise as Glasner and Palace are not looking to part company.

However, this move is unlikely to happen because Glasner and Palace are not looking to split ways, similar to their chase of Alonso.
Despite Tuchel’s announcement earlier in the season that he would be leaving in the summer, it has since been reported that Bayern has been attempting to persuade him to return to the team.

After leading Bayern for 14 months, the former Chelsea manager is reportedly eager to return to the Premier League.
Because Erik ten Hag’s future at Manchester United is unclear, he has been connected to the position.

If Tuchel leaves Bayern, he will enter his next position having been denied a title at one of the biggest teams in the world, one that has become accustomed to taking home trophies.

The six-time European champions were ousted in the DFB-Pokal by Saarbrucken, a team competing in the German third division, and finished third in the Bundesliga, 17 points behind champions Bayer Leverkusen.

Before two late goals from Real Madrid in the second leg of their semifinal match, Bayern appeared to be certain to secure their spot in the Champions League final.

Many people criticized Tuchel for his choice to replace Kane in the 85th minute, with Bayern leading 1-0 at the Bernabeu, before Real Madrid scored in the 88th and 89th minutes.
