In the inaugural European Globe Soccer Awards, Mikel Arteta was voted Premier League Coach of the Season.
During a special Sardinian edition of the Globe Soccer Awards on Tuesday afternoon, Arteta was declared the winner.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City defeated Arteta’s team to win the Premier League for the second consecutive year.
Other winners included Michel Sanchez of Girona, who earned LaLiga Coach of the Season, Jude Bellingham, who was chosen LaLiga Player of the Season, and young Lamine Yamal of Barcelona, who received U-23 LaLiga Player of the Season.
Furthermore, Gianluigi Buffon got the Career Award, Barcelona’s women’s squad won the Best Women’s squad title, Manchester City won the Best Men’s Team title, and Atalanta won the Revelation Award.
The winners of the European version will create a shortlist for the year-ending international competition in the United Arab Emirates.
